Henna artist Deepika Bhatt has been drawing in henna since she was seven years old. Born and raised in India, Deepika eventually went on to apprentice with three henna artists, and although she has her Ph.D. in genetics, her passion is henna painting.

She offers several styles e.g. Indian traditional intricate paisley, Moghul, Marwari, Arabic, Indo arabic, Party and fun style, Moroccan, tribal etc.

Deepika returns to India every few years to learn what’s new and hot in henna. She treats it with the same respect as research. She has won numerous awards in India, the UK and the US. She also does, glitter, shimmer, jardosi, pearl, diamond and color temporaru designs.

Wonderful artist, fantastic to work with!

Birthday Party We asked Deepika to come to our shop and provide henna artwork for everyone to enjoy, to celebrate our bookkeeper's birthday. Deepika was great to work with and everyone had a wonderful time comparing designs, watching the process and generally doing something completely different.

She was gracious and adaptable, setting up in an out-of-the-way area and putting everyone at ease. I will definitely hire her again.
