I think what sets Darshwood apart from other hypno acts is his caring attitude on stage. I enjoyed every second of it and so did the audience. Darshwood is the man!

They're not tricks!

Darshwood kindly agreed to perform at a benefit I organized in January 2011. It was billed with some big name local poets and a couple of musical acts. That's right, a magician at a poetry reading--let's see how that goes over. Well, great, actually. He has the look, the stage presence, the confidence, and the skill at his craft. I can't imagine a crowd he couldn't entertain. Darshwood holds his audience captive, constantly summoning either laughter, applause, or awed silence. He doesn't simply perform magic tricks, he takes his audience on a journey. You think you know where you are going, you think you know how he is taking you there, but by the time you arrive at the destination you are not where you thought you were headed, don't know how you got there, and realize that you weren't laughing at Darshwood, you were laughing at yourself, at your brashness to think that you could see through this master's art and figure out how a trick was done. This was your folly . . . and half the fun. Still, when he finishes a trick the laughter stops and you are left dumbstruck. By the end of the show, though, being a close observer and quite clever, I figured out the secret behind his performance. They are not tricks; he really is just magic.

We have never hired a magician before and had no idea what it was like. Darshwood was very professional. We didn't have to do anything except tell him where to go and when to start. I brought in a single briefcase that was filled with tricks. Our family and friends still talk about it and our son is now a huge fan of magic. We framed the special card drawing that Darshwood magically made for him and it now hangs in his room. We are all fans of Darshwood now!
