Currently performing his solo act, Colin's music has the feel of a favorite album with lyrics that pull listeners away from outward distractions. Colin has years of on-stage experience from playing with bands such as Berch and the Franz Family, and brings this love of music and performing to every gig. Although Dylan went electric, Colin sticks to the tone that he loves, playing acoustic sets across the West Coast. With a songbook full of original material, and the natural talent to cover a wide variety of musicians on request, Colin is the perfect choice for private and public performances of any size.
About
Born into a musical family in West Plains, MO, Colin has spent his entire life surrounded by a wonderful atmosphere of music and love. He first began writing original songs at the age of 16, with deeply personal lyrics alongside his brilliant acoustic guitar abilities even at a young age.
Prior to moving to California, Colin earned a great fan base in the thriving music scene of Springfield, MO. First performing with Berch, at the time named the #1 Alternative Rock band in Springfield, the band gained notoriety for their honest sound and great stage presence, releasing the full-length studio album "Before and After the Fall." Soon after, the band members each found new opportunities, leading to the eventual (and agreeable) split of the group, much to the dismay of their loyal followers.
Colin continued to perform solo and with friends, finally joining forces with the Franz Family. Recently Colin finished his debut album, "This Side of the Sun," with the Franz Family providing music and backing vocals, recorded at the legendary Ardent Studios in Memphis, TN. Colin and Emmett Franz won First Place (and Judge's Choice) at Springfield's Got Talent, the area's largest talent competition.
In addition to his recordings and performances, Colin also led the Praise & Worship band at Second Baptist, one of the largest churches in Springfield, MO. While music plays a large part in Colin's life, his faith comes second to none.
