Carol Weakland

Why book Carol Weakland?

Have you seen any great stories lately. Actress Carol Weakland brings literary classics to life in One woman productions of "Jane Eyre," "Wutherings Heights," The Ghost and Mrs. Muir," "Pride and Prejudice," "Morgen of Avalon," "The Belle of Amherst," "The Cricket on the Hearth," and "The Turn of the Screw."

This year 2013 I will also add "Rebecca" and "Guenevere, Queen of Camelot" to my list of one woman shows.

For children ages two years and up I present elaborate story-telling programs all based on literature and literary characters.

Professor McGonagall from the "Harry Potter" novels, Tinker Bell from "Peter Pan," The White Witch from "The Chronicles of Narnia," Princess Merida from "Brave," Princess Ariel from "The Little Mermaid," Glinda the Good Witch and the Wicked Witch of the West from "The Wizard of Oz," Arwen, Galadriel and Frodo from "The Lord of the Rings," and Faeries for every occasion!

It is my goal to bring literary classics to life through performance. Each production has its own intimate quality, as if the audience is visiting the character's residence.

Please feel free to request a classic that is not listed. I often consider new material based upon interest.

Overview

My one woman shows are intimate --even when they are performed on stage --almost as if the audience has come to visit the character's residence.

Past Performance venues have ranged from schools, libraries, historical sites to traditional theatrical stages.

My Children's story-telling programs can be quite elaborate depending on your needs.
