Nicole, an American Cabaret and Egyptian style dancer, and Alexandra, a Tribal Fusion and American Tribal dancer are a unique pair-constantly learning from each other, creating beautifully choreographed solos and duets, as well as improvisational dances, with a range of skills from fire eating to sword balancing. The dancers also perform with veils, zills, canes (Raqs Assaya), fan veils, isis wings, fire fans, voi, poi, and palm torches. A wide array of talents to keep any audience fascinated!

This is a troupe that I have seen several times, live in performance as well as practice. Their dedication, devotion, and passion for the art of belly dancing surpasses everything I could have imagined. The stage presence, energy, and mesmerizing moves will leave you breathless, and yearning for more. Between the professional costuming, real props, and the element of danger, I believe we will see these girls on a larger stage front in the near future. But in the mean time, I would hire them again while I can still afford them.

Exciting and entertaining group of dancers!!!
I LOVE this dance troupe!!! I have seen them perform many times both as a group and solos and they are awesome!! They use a lot of different props (swords, cane, veils, fan veils, fire) and all have a very unique style of bellydance!!! My favorite is when they start dancing with fire, several of the dancers are experienced fire eaters and it makes for a very suspenseful but enjoyable performance. I am going to see them next weekend in fact and I can't wait!!!

"Cairo on the Coast" is the work of Nicole Edge and Alexandra Mitchell, two entertainers with an extensive and diverse background in Belly Dance and Fire Dancing. The two dancers have been performing in the southeastern US for the past 4 years, entertaining at events ranging from festivals, weddings, and gallery openings to weekly performances at restaurants and lounges. Nicole has been practicing the art of Middle Eastern dance since 2002, and has been performing professionally since 2008. She has taken lessons and workshops from many skilled dancers, such as Leyla Katrina (Hawaii), Dina (Egypt), and Jillina (California). She is proficient in American Cabaret and Egyptian style belly dance, and performs with a range of props; veils, zills, swords, canes, (Raqs Assaya), Isis wings, fire fans, and fan veils. Her most uncommon skill is fire eating, which lends a unique twist to her Belly Dance performances. She has also been featured in "The South" Magazine-her classes being chosen as one of the top "fun ways" to get fit. Alexandra has been performing professionally since 2008, as well, and has learned her skills by attending many workshops from notable dancers and troupes, such as "The Indigo" & Moria Chappell of "The Belly Dance Superstars". Her main focus is Tribal Fusion dance, and American Tribal style, but she is also skilled in American Cabaret and Folkloric Belly Dance. She performs with many unique props such as fan veils, fire fans, canes, zills, fire poi, and fire hoops. Her favorite props are Voi (a cross between veil and poi), and swords. The wide range of skills "Cairo" has to offer can energize just about any event! Nicole and Alexandra perform as a synchronized duo, as well as solo entertainers, and are capable of choreographed and improvisational dance. From brief appearances, to extended performances, this duo is capable of keeping an audience captivated. "Cairo" is also known for teaching private group dance lessons-a perfect "Ladies Night Out" for bachelorette parties and more!
The two members of Cairo are not only concerned with putting on a great show-they are also very aware of how important customer service is when it comes to any business.
