I have performed on saxophone and woodwinds with some of the finest musical ensembles in New York City and have performed many times at top venues like Carnegie Hall, Weill Hall, Alice Tully Hall, The Juilliard School, Galapagos Art Space, and many more. I am the founding member of the wind quintet Vortex Street, principal bassoonist of the New York Laboratory Orchestra, and a performing and studio recording artist. I am a graduate of The Juilliard School and the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and I am a versatile musician, able to play all woodwind instruments.
I was lucky and fortunate to have Brandon play on my album Acres. LOVE his work and personality! Would work with him again in a heartbeat!!
Hire this great guy. He's a joy!
Listen here to hear him in action. The orchestra begins after about a minute.

Brandon is not just talented and well trained, he is God gifted making him one of the most incredible communicators of music I have ever heard and performed with.
I have had the pleasure of working with Brandon Blankenship on a number of concept recordings, and have purchased some of his bassoon reeds for my daughter. She found the reeds to be high quality and dependable.
Brandon's professionalism and courtesy is matched only by his talent. In my recordings he used his vocals and prowess with audio production equipment to make my songs shine. I am not surprised to learn that he also plays a number of woodwind instruments with great proficiency.
If you have the chance to work with this young man, you will not regret it.
Having met Brandon recently and attending an event he played for I would strongly recommend him for any upscale event! His professionalism and expertise in what he does is above and beyond. Highly recommend with a thumbs up!
Brandon Blankenship is the epitomy of a true artist. Classically trained and a gifted craftsman, his custom reeds are one of a kind. His dedication to music and his passion cannot be surpassed. Brandon's knowledge of the industry and commitment to perfection will be the driving force to his success. We thank him for his dedication and the knowledge he shared with our guests.
Brandon blew our minds at cocktail hour! We hired him for background tunes...but believe me, his beautiful music took center stage!
If you want a professional with great expertise and amazing musical talent, then Mr. Blankenship is a wise choice! He would be great for any occasion, and he will not disappoint!
We hired Brandon for the cocktail hour of our wedding this past January. He was professional and entertaining, and it really added a lot to the party. Very easy to communicate with. Would refer to any friend!

My colleagues and I are versatile musicians and always support my clients however they need. I show up early, set up quickly, and play a set list that is advised by my client. If you give me the vibe, I can make the music happen. I am also connected with some of the the best and freshest young artists in the New York City metropolitan area and can always provide the perfect ensemble for my performance whether you are looking for solo woodwinds, chamber music, or a small orchestra.
Audiences have enjoyed my performances in many different capacities: on stage in front of an orchestra, serenading anniversaries, soloing at a bank opening, playing love songs at a wedding, or with a woodwind quintet at a birthday party. My music is enjoyable, personable, tailored to my clients, and affordable. My look is sleek and fresh, as is my music.
