Our company was born out of a friendship between Mark Steiner, president of Steiner Talent, Inc and Steve Tetrault, president of Tetrault Design Associates, Inc. who met while living in New York City in the mid-90s. Mark has been in the entertainment business for nearly 2 decades and in the talent booking and management industry for thirteen years, and Steve has earned numerous design awards for an international client base, which includes critically-acclaimed artists and musicians. The two entertainment-loving entrepreneurs set out to create Gig Salad as they surfed around the web and concluded that there simply wasn’t a talent directory on the web that was Affordable to Performers, Attractive to the Eye, Easy to Use, and Fair for Everyone. We decided to never hard-sell our product, to never be impossible to contact, and to never charge too much for membership fees.

As Gig Salad began we offered "Lifetime Memberships" in our pre-launch phase in order to help fund the development of the site. It was exciting to see that many people believed in us and in our concept and signed on before we even started. Gig Salad was ultimately developed by our team of talented fanaticals, and has gone through many versions, overhauls and upgrades during our short history.

In 2007 we threw our roots down in Springfield, MO buy purchasing a stand-alone building to serve as the headquarters for Gig Salad, directly across from City Hall. If you’re in the area, please stop in and see us.

Since our launch scores of entertainers have listed themselves on Gig Salad and we’re looking ahead to this coming year to being a banner year for Gig Salad and its members. We are obsessive about our product and want to give the best of everything to our members, which means that we also have some grand plans for 2008 that will give much more to our members without costing them extra. We like to give stuff away.

We strongly believe that talent booking and advertising will be optimized by utilizing and harnessing the power of the technology the internet offers. What’s most important to us is that we love what we do. We are thrilled when we exceed our members’ expectations and we thrive on bringing joy and success to those who decide to join our roster.
