About
Big John J is a ONE MAN BAND, perform by myself John J. Richardson. I started teaching my self to play piano at age 9, mainly one note at a time. My sister tough me to read music about that same time. I played trumpet and school and in the Army HQ 7th Division Band in Korea and in the 1st AD Band at Fort Hood, Texas.
After the service I joined Henry Peters band in Omaha, Nebraska for a year then moved to Fort Worth, Texas where I joined up with Little Al and The Hi Fives which was the house band at Chicken In The Basket on 4th street. There we backed up such artist a Z. Z. Hill, Freddy King, Albert King, and many more, when they was booked at the Chicken In The Basket.
One Man Band, came about when I got real good job at General Dynamics and I could not be fully committed to band to gigs and practice.

Typical Gig Duration: 60 - 120 minutes
Stage/Setup Requirements:
110 A/C, If not available I have a battery conversation system that will less two hours. Needs an area of 10X10 to set up and at less a hour access to setup.
