Big Jon & The Honkin Swans
A dynamic and veteran group that get the audience dancing and moving. Playing a mixture of oldies and current tunes. The "b" side hits. Songs that have you saying to yourself..."I haven't heard that in ages!!!". The ones that get you smiling and on your feet. Great tunes that have been lost in the mix.

Big Jon & The Honkin Swans
In early 2008, the idea of what was to become Big Jon & The Honkin Swans was formed. It was then that Big Jon And Mike McCullough began the process of building a band.
Mike McCullough (Bass) a lifetime veteran of the music industry has honed his art with likes of Roni Summers and Carroll Baker to name a few.
First to join up, was Paul Cooper (Drums). Formerly the drummer for Highway 19. "Coop" has been keeping the beat from the start.
Simply known as The Big Jon Blues Band in it's early days. It soon became apparent that our musical tastes covered much more that the Blues.
And thus Big Jon & The Honkin Swans were "hatched".
It wasn't until September of 2009, that the final pieces of the "flock" arrived and The Honkin Swans were complete. No longer just a Blues band. The two new members brought with them, the dynamic and talent that has made Big Jon & The Honkin Swans the success we are today.
Biff Mingus (Guitar) began mastering his craft at the age of 9. In 1980 he played guitar in the group "Straitjacket" (formerly “The Tarts”) who were mainstays in the regional bar scene. He has lent his skills to other groups since then, including "Dither”, “Bohunka” and 'Mumbo Jumbo Shrimp." Emerging from “retirement” in 2001 he joined Bobbi Lee Justice and The Sceptersand was with them until the fall of 2009 when he had the good fortune to join Big Jon & The Honkin Swans in which he is having a blast.
Firehouse Harris (Keys), formerly with Wayne Mack, Orville Prophet, The Terraplane Blues Band, King Biscuit Boy, Lois Scott, to name a few. Singer, songwriter, front performer and sideman since (link hidden)ays, guitar, mandolin, slide guitar, accordian, piano, organ, and more.
Playing a mixture of Old School Blues & R&B to "B" side hits to Classic Rock. There is always something new and different to please all ears.
