Lovely dancing
I've watched Alicia perform many times in multiple venues. She works hard to produce an entertaining, quality and tasteful show. Alicia works hard to incorporate exciting props into her performances and always leaves the audience happier for their experience.
Last night, she did a lovely, classic performance, reminding me of Soheir Zaki, an incredible dancer called the Sweet Star of Cairo.

About
Alicia started belly dancing in 2001, her first public performance was after just 6 weeks of classes; she was deeply encouraged and inspired. She continued with the dance and started performing in 2005. She has learned from and taken classes with dozens of instructors whose specialties range from Turkish, Arabic, Tribal styles. She was runner up at the 2005 Promising Beginner Category at the Boston Belly Dance Awards, the first place winner in 4 category’s in the 2008 People’s Choice Awards including Best New Performer, best zills and personality. Alicia performs regularly at clubs and restaurants throughout the New England area, and is the entertainment for weddings, and private functions. She enjoys dancing and collaborating with live bands and also can provide her own music.
She was the director of the Lila G Fredericks middle school belly dance club 2005-2007, and also teaches special workshops for young children and for adults as well. Alicia has been a member of many dance troupes and continues to further her belly dance education.
Alicia's belly dance classes are geared towards learning the fundamentals of belly dance movement/technique and expression. Classes are geared towards being in touch with the body/mind/spirit connection, having fun and encouraging self acceptance. Her eclectic, unique and energetic style is a joy to watch and experience.

Please let me know if you need me to provide sound equipment, such as a boombox. Or if you have a sound system of your own you would prefer to use or if there will be a DJ, I will be able to provide either a CD or Ipod. Also, please let me know if the party will be outdoors or inside or if you have any specific requests!
