The (Almost) Cher Show

Amazing show! In my opinion better than the real Cher. The costumes were gorgeous and the band was great too. I was at the Show in January and came back with friends for this show. It was even better the second time. Congratulations on a spectacular performance.

Magnificent Performance!

HELENE, IT WAS AN ABSOLUTE JOY TO SEE YOU AGAIN. YOUR PERFORMANCE WAS MAGNIFICENT.YOU CERTAINLY DESERVE A PACKED HOUSE, AND PROBABLY HAVE ALWAYS HAD ONE WHEREVER YOU HAVE PERFORMED -MY GROUP LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF YOUR PERFORMANCE AND ROD STUART - HE WAS EXCELLENT ALSO. WE WERE HOPING TO GET TO TALK TO YOU AFTER THE SHOW AND TAKE SOME PICTURES WITH YOU. ONE MAN IN PARTICULAR WITH MY GROUP WOULD LOVE TO HAVE SPOKEN TO YOU AND HAD A PICTURE TAKEN WITH YOU. THE OTHER MAN WITH MY GROUP THAT YOU KISSED HIS HAND, HE TOLD HIS WIFE THAT HE WAS NEVER WASHING THAT HAND. PERFORMANCE OF CONCERT IS VERY LONG DUE TO FREQUENT CSTUME CHANGES BETWEEN SETS BAND TAKES OVER HALF THE SHOW PEOPLE WRE GETTING BORED. IT WOULD BE GOOD IF THEIR WAS NO FASHION SHOW FOR EACH COUPLE OF SONGS. TOO MUCH EMPHASIS ON THE BAND AND NOT ENOUGH OF THE IMPERSONATOR. COULD DO A LOT BETTER!

Those who are Cher fans, know that Cher is known for her costumes, possibly more than her songs. In concert, Cher doesn't perform more than two songs in the same costume. She does have the advantage of a large team of "dressers" and a multi-million dollar production to keep the audience amused during her 17 costume changes. I'm doing the best I can to recreate the true Cher experience. My costumes are fabulous replicas of some of her best known Bob Mackie's and my changes take approximately 5 to 7 minutes.

This is kind of weird. I went to Yonkers to take in the harness races, but discovered when I got there that there's no live racing on Thursdays. So, with lots of time on my hands, I wandered into the casino there and noticed that a concert was going on. So I decided to check it out. There was a Cher impersonator appearing there and she was just amazing! Not only did she look just like Cher, but she actually sang her her songs (no lip syncing!) and it was Cher - dead on! On top of that, she made about a gazillion costume changes, too! Needless to say, I was glad that the track was closed, that allowed me to catch such an amazing performance!! BRAVO for her, err.....CHER!!
