Alma is an award-winning bellydancer with a long history of stage performance in theater. Every time she dances, she brings depth and emotion to her bellydance vocabulary.
A full routine begins with a dynamic veil and zill (finger cymbals) intro, followed by a slow and sensuous taksim, and finished off with an exciting drum solo. Following the set, Alma engages the audience, encouraging them to explore their inner dancer and participate as desired.
Middle Eastern dancing is suitable for all age groups!

About
Alma began learning Middle Eastern dance, known as Raks Sharki, with the world-known and fabulous Sandra. With Sandra as a mentor, she has taken on an earthy and passionate interpretation of bellydance.
You can see Alma dance locally in the SF Bay Area as a soloist and with Sandra’s troupe, Khamsin.
Alma is the 2011 1st place winner of Jewel of the Sierra, Sapphire Category.
