Alexandria is an experienced, talented musician located in the Manchester, New Hampshire area serving the Northeastern United States and Canada.
She is a Highland Bagpiper and traditional bugler. She is unique because she is one of a very small number of totally visually impaired Highland Bagpipers throughout the world. She is a member of theAmerican Federation of Musicians Local 349 so you can be assured you will be hiring a quality, professional performer for your event.
She can also put you in touch with other musicians in the AFM from trumpet players to string quartets and any other type of live music you may need.
Alexandria was very pleasant and understanding of the situation, we appreciated her performance , it add a special touch.
Response from Alexandria Davis:
Thank you so very much.
Alexandria was terrific to work with in planning and holding a memorial gathering for my late husband. (This was a secular event but in a church, 6 months after he passed away.) Her tuneful, well paced, and spirited performances of the two songs we wanted were very moving high points of the event. Her kilted garb and bearing were impeccable. Her energy and apparent commitment to her clients and the music made her a true pleasure to work with.
And in all our arrangements, she was most accomodating, flexible when we had schedule changes, and kindly sensitive to the emotional stress of such an occasion.
Response from Alexandria Davis:
Thank you so very much. Blessings to you.
Alexandria joined us at Sanbornton Central School for a unique celebration of our "Eating of the Greens" parade and new salad bar introduction. When I first spoke with Alexandria to request that she play for us she was enthusiastic and excited to have an opportunity to perform for our students. We are an elementary school and excitement was at its peak when we announced our all school parade and assembly.
Alexandria led our parade with the wondrous sounds of the bagpipes and continued as class after class joined in with the parade, some 200 students strong. Once we were gatherwed for our assembly Alexandria interacted with the students in a most comfortable manner. She found a way to incorporate healthy vegetables in her own life experiences, talked about the workings of the bagpipes, and was pleased to discuss her challenges as a blind bagpiper. The audience was in awe with every face locked on the genuine words of our bagpiper . When she played all hearts skipped a beat.
A wonderful experience for all-Alexandra is both professional and talented-indeed she is an angel with bagpipes!
Alexandria wowed the crowd at our gathering for 89 year old local man Tom Cullen who recently became officially Irish by getting his Irish Citizenship papers. The event was held at the Plaistow Public Library and was attended by over 150 people. She played all the Irish favorites which drew many compliments and much applause. She is a gifted player & very professional, arriving before the event to tune up and get ready. If you are looking for a Celtic bagpiper I highly recommend Alexandria as she is a consummate performer and an inspiration to all! Would definitely hire her again and will do so!
Response from Alexandria Davis:
Thank you so very much. It was great to perform for this touching event.
For the first time in the history of the La Crosse (Wisconsin) LaborFest, the celebrants were treated to the music of a bagpiper, Alexandria Davis. Sister Davis played with energy and feeling from her heart. She is a professional and talented musician and a credit to her craft. Much admiration was expressed by the crowd for her thoughtful dedication to her craft.
Response from Alexandria Davis:
Thank you so very much union brother.
For the first time, in the 35 year history of the Great Labor Arts Exchange, we enjoyed the music of a bagpiper, Alexandria Davis. Sister Davis isn't just any old bagpiper, she's an energetic, professional, and talented union bagpiper! And she's ours! Not content to reprise her moving rendition of Amazing Grace that she performed Saturday morning for our plenary session, Alexandria beautifully delivered two additional songs for the evening concert. Next time you need a unuion bagpiper, call Akexandria.
Alexandria performed at the Highlander Education & Research Center for us. She is a brilliant musician. We could not have made a better choice! We were pleasantly surprise by her story also which added even more to our experience. She is more than a piper she is an absolute inspiration to anyone around her. I highly recommend her and will continue to book her for our events.
Response from Alexandria Davis:
Thank you so very much. It was an honor.
She does her profession proud. Amazing performance at the Highlander Research and Education Center for the We Were Not Born to Follow Retreat 2014 for mentoring women to find their voice in their Union. She was the biggest inspiration there with her awsome performance that filled the surrounding Smokey Mountains with the sweet sound coming from her bagpipes.
Response from Alexandria Davis:
Thank you so very much. Thank you for choosing me. It was a wonderful time.
Communication is excellent, very professional and polite.
Response from Alexandria Davis:
Thank you so much sir.
Alexandria Knox Davis did an excellent job at the philadelphia May Day Picnic. She opened and closed the event. When she opened she introduced herself and her union and played the bagpipes to bring peoples attention to the stage. She them closed towards the end of the event to bring peoples attention to the workers memorial at the other side of the park for closing performances. It was great to have this union sister here.
Response from Alexandria Davis:
Thank you so much union brother. I hope you have me back next year. It was a great time.
Everyone was in ahh of her performance! This wedding was on a beautiful plantation. We had Alexandria in front of the main house under the circle of Oaks. She played as people entered the ceremony area. She was amazing! We would recommend her to everyone.
Response from Alexandria Davis:
Thank you so very much.
Alexandria attended our weekend camp retreat in Savannah for young adults. She offered to bring her bagpipes to play for everyone. On Saturday we held an Open House and offered a talent show for everyone to see. Alexandria was the final act of the show. She graced us with her presence, her wonderful talent, her beautiful personality, and her passion for what she loves to do. Her playing created emotion throughout the crowd. One person was so moved, she drove off after the performance had been finished for 15 minutes; she was still wiping the tears.
Alexandria is a professional. But, she brings a very human side to her gift. She gives back, to whomever is around her, with her music and her heart. I would hire her in a second for any event. And will!
The crowd was moved by the music and the performer. Her final piece drew a standing ovation from conference participants.
I recently hired Alexandria to play bagpipes for me at a Sunset Ceremony I held during a 10k Breast Cancer Walk. We were using the ceremony as a time to reflect upon those fighting the disease, those we had lost and those who had triumphed over breast cancer. Alexandria playing "Amazing Grace" on the bagpipes was the crowning achievement for this event and made it unbelievably memorable for all involved! I found her via facebook and was incredibly pleased with the communication, level of professionalism and incredible quality she brought to the table. I had a very specific idea in mind how I wanted this ceremony to appear and Alexandria delivered beyond my expectations! Everyone loved watching the sunset, but then were shocked, awed and amazed when the moving sounds of the bagpipe came from behind them! Alexandria did an incredible job and I would hire her again and again!
