The Alaska Quartet was formed in the summer of 2002 in conjunction with the CREDO chamber music festival, directed by Peter Slowik.
The Alaska Quartet believes that music is a gift from God, and God has called us to use our music to bring Him honor and glory, and to serve our fellow men and women. We believe that God gives gifts to each and every person, which He wants each to acknowledge and use in His service.
Our motto is that same as CREDO's. It's Philipians 4:8, and it says "Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things."
