Eye-popping transformation of coins, dollars, Sharpies, candy, finger rings, even socks. Borrowed objects take on a life of their own! Even spoons and forks, bent by the energy of laughter, lead to a psychic portal. Unbelievable, laughably absurd, and stunning!

Smiles, laughter, and lots of "Whaaaaaat? ...That's impossible!"
DC-born and raised, I wore a Superman cape till I was 20. I had special powers apparent to me from childhood. But my mother said I had to wash it all the time.
The power of Magic and Mentalism became a fascination -- trying to figure out why my mum and dad were arguing about all manner of things. The famous Al's Magic Shop was a retreat from a tense household and polarized city in the sixties. In the early eighties, my focus of study in the mystery arts dealt with transforming everyday objects, anytime, anywhere and then with mentalism -- mindreading and psychokinesis.
In truth, I enjoyed one-man, mystery theater. But I had to make a buck, right?
I pursued a career in news broadcasting at NBC and the Voice of America -- on the air -- for 30 years, raising a family -- also performing magic at local restaurants. My commanding voice, sense of humor, and convincing British accent -- and ease of performance -- are the real magic that delight audiences at Clyde's restaurant, other bars and eateries, corporate-community venues and festivals. Also as a tour guide on the National Mall, I use magic tricks with coins and bills to illustrate the mysterious incidents I've found in the chapters of US history.
Bottom line: I'm an actor with a great voice and an ear for impersonations -- who's pursued mystery career aspirations with startling effects found in the best books and video -- and sharpened over and over years of performance.
Just me and a table
The work of Jay Sankey, Greg Wilson, and Banacek. In 2008, I was invited to Hollywood to take part in a mentalism "You've Got Talent" program. I auditioned but did not make the show.
