Hello! My name is Nate Rees. I’m a husband, father, speaker, entrepreneur, and occasional mountain summiter. I’m married, and my wife is the strongest person I know. We have 4 amazing kids and live in Denver, Colorado.
A little more about me . . .
Whether performing theatrically, playing music, or speaking to crowds, I knew from an early age that I felt most at home when standing on a stage. As a senior in high school, I took a speech class which required me to give a riveting 3 minute speech on socks! Thankfully, my content has changed since then, but I've been standing on stages delivering messages ever since. For the last 3 years I’ve been a speaker for an amazing organization called Rachel’s Challenge, where I’ve had the privilege of speaking in 26 states to over 45,000 people.
But wait, there’s more (and it gets crazy) . . .
In the past 10 years my wife, Jill, and I have faced some serious challenges. From 2008 to 2018, Jill has had multiple health issues which resulted in 8 neurosurgeries in 3 different states and years of her being barely functional more often than not. The impact on our marriage, family, finances and life is more than anyone will ever know, BUT...We are still standing! We have fought hard to learn to find the joy in the mess of life. Facing these challenges has created a deep desire to help others who are struggling with the hard and painful things that we often find ourselves facing. If I can take the lessons that I’ve learned along the way and help one person know how to deal with the turmoil that life can bring, then it is worth it. Thanks for taking the time to learn more about me.

KEYNOTE
VICTOR OF CIRCUMSTANCE
Everyone encounters emotional pain sooner or later. It comes through divorce, broken relationships, physical or verbal abuse, death of friends or family members, the list goes on and on. This reality poses the question:how do we process the emotional pain in life to propel our self from victim to victor? In this powerful Keynote, Nate intertwines humor, story telling and practical application and shares the journey he and his wife faced as they navigated her countless health issues and 8 neurosurgeries in 10 years. Nate guides the audience through the steps he took to begin the emotional healing that ultimately saved his life.
WORKSHOPS
CLEAR UP THE CONFLICT
When it comes to our relationships, conflict is going to arise. To have healthy relationships with our spouse, family, friends or co workers, it requires us to take the initiative to keep the lines of communication clear. In this fun, yet practical workshop, Nate teaches a model of communication that is designed to clear up the conflict, while strengthening our understanding of self and our relationships.
STEP OFF THE EMOTIONAL ROLLER COASTER
Everyday we encounter situations that evoke emotions inside of us. Happy, mad, sad, glad, afraid, anxious, excited: these are just some emotions we deal with on a daily, and for some, hourly basis. The problem arises when we feel like these emotions are in control of us, instead of the other way around. In this workshop, Nate takes funny, yet poignant stories from his own emotional roller coaster to encourage the audience to become more aware of how they're feeling, why they are feeling that way and ultimately, how to handle it.
MIC DROP MOMENT
There's a reason public speaking is most people's second fear, next to death. It's extremely intimidating to stand in front of a group of people and be able to effectively convey your message. Everyone with that opportunity wants to move their audience to some end, but how? Nate uses his 20 years of public speaking experience to teach workshop participants how to give a speech that inspires it's listeners to action, regardless of the topic or audience (microphone optional).
